Role description
Job Title: AWS ParallelCluster Engineer (No c2c) Location: Remote Industry: Pharmaceutical JOB DESCRIPTION: Theoris is seeking a highly skilled HPC Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and support a critical project involving high-performance computing workloads in AWS. This role requires deep expertise in AWS ParallelCluster, Slurm, and Linux systems, with a strong focus on performance tuning, automation, and infrastructure as code. RESPONSIBILITIES: โ€ข Design, deploy, and manage AWS ParallelCluster environments. โ€ข Administer and optimize Slurm workload manager for HPC clusters. โ€ข Troubleshoot and maintain Linux-based systems in a cloud-native environment. โ€ข Implement infrastructure using Terraform and other IaC tools. โ€ข Work with AWS services including EC2, FSx, S3, IAM, and related components. โ€ข Conduct performance tuning and automate operational tasks for HPC workloads. REQUIREMENTS: โ€ข Experience with Nextflow or other workflow orchestration tools. โ€ข Familiarity with bioinformatics pipelines and scientific computing. โ€ข Programming skills in Python and/or R. โ€ข Experience with containerization tools like Docker, Singularity, and environment managers like Conda or renv. โ€ข Proven experience in HPC environments, especially in cloud-based setups. โ€ข Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, technical team. โ€ข Passion for automation, performance optimization, and scientific computing.
