Strong expertise in AWS database services and Snowflake architecture, plus SQL, automation, and scripting.
Position Description (AWS & Snowflake Focus)
• Design and manage scalable, secure AWS database solutions using RDS, AuroraDB, DynamoDB, Redshift, ElastiCache, EMR, and Neptune.
• Configure, optimize, and integrate EMR clusters with diverse data sources.
• Integrate AWS databases with Lambda, S3, EC2, and Glue.
• Apply AWS security best practices (IAM, encryption, VPC, security groups).
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, high availability, and failover using Multi-AZ and read replicas.
• Troubleshoot AWS database and cluster issues.
• Architect, implement, and manage Snowflake virtual data warehouses with a focus on performance and micro-partitions.
• Write and optimize complex SQL for analysis and reporting.
• Optimize Snowflake workloads through clustering, caching, and auto-scaling.
• Ensure SSA compliance and support technical communications.
• Mentor junior developers.
Basic Qualifications (AWS & Snowflake Related)
• 7+ years as a Database Architect.
• Deep experience with AWS database services and data processing platforms.
• Proficient in AWS security, compliance, and troubleshooting.
• Skilled in performance tuning, caching, clustering, and auto-scaling.
• Proficient with automation/scripting: CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS CLI, Python, Bash, PowerShell.
Required Skills — AWS & Snowflake Highlights
• Expert in relational/NoSQL design and modeling.
• High-level experience configuring, launching, and optimizing EMR clusters.
• Advanced SQL performance tuning.
AWS Expertise
• Proven ability to architect scalable, secure, high-performance AWS database solutions.
