Role description
CIGroupEMEA is seeking an experienced and highly capable AWS Solution Architect to design, implement and govern secure, scalable and resilient cloud architectures supporting global digital platforms, data operations and emerging AI-driven initiatives. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in AWS infrastructure, enterprise networking, hybrid data centre integration, containerisation, CI/CD automation, AI services, analytics and observability. This role requires both strategic architectural leadership and strong hands-on delivery capability to support our client’s evolving cloud ecosystem. Key Responsibilities β€’ Design, implement and govern secure, scalable and highly available AWS architectures aligned with the AWS Well-Architected Framework and client's technology standards. β€’ Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership to development teams on solution design, AWS service selection and software architecture best practice to ensure scalable, secure and high-performing applications. β€’ Operate in a hands-on capacity when required, contributing directly to cloud implementation, infrastructure automation and application architecture across AWS and modern development stacks β€’ Utilise AWS CLI for automation, scripting, operational management and troubleshooting. β€’ Design and implement containerised workloads using Amazon ECS and Docker, including container lifecycle management, image optimisation and security hardening. β€’ Design and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and related DevOps tooling, and integrate infrastructure automation using Terraform. β€’ Establish DevSecOps practices including automated testing, vulnerability scanning and deployment governance. β€’ Architect and deploy AI-driven solutions leveraging AWS Bedrock, AgentCore and AI Agents, and securely integrate LLM-based services into enterprise platforms. β€’ Design cloud-native data analytics and reporting solutions using Amazon QuickSuite. β€’ Implement enterprise monitoring and observability frameworks using Amazon CloudWatch, Prometheus and Grafana, including SLIs, SLOs, dashboards and alerting mechanisms. β€’ Drive cloud cost optimisation and financial governance initiatives.
