Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Application Solution Architect with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure to design, implement, and lead endβtoβend cloud solutions. The ideal candidate is handsβon, understands enterprise architecture principles, and can convert business requirements into scalable, secure, and costβoptimized Azure-based applications.
This role involves architectural leadership, solution blueprinting, technical governance, and active collaboration across development, DevOps, security, and business teams.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Solution Design
Design high-level and low-level architecture for cloud-native and hybrid enterprise applications.
Develop scalable systems using Azure PaaS services, microservices, APIs, and serverless components.
Define architecture standards, integration patterns, and technology roadmaps.
Provide technical leadership in modernization of monolithic systems to microservices and event-driven architectures.
Azure Cloud Expertise
Hands-on experience with multiple Azure services such as:
Compute: Azure App Service, AKS, Azure Functions
Integration: API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, Logic Apps
Storage & Data: Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Blob Storage, Data Lake
Security: Azure AD, Managed Identities, Key Vault, RBAC
DevOps: Azure DevOps pipelines, GitHub Actions
Networking: VNets, Private Endpoints, Application Gateway, Firewall
Technical Governance
Review solution designs, code quality, and architectural compliance.
Set non-functional requirements (NFRs): security, scalability, performance, reliability, observability.
Conduct architecture reviews and produce solution design documentation.
Collaboration & Leadership
Partner with product owners, business analysts, development managers, and DevOps teams.
Provide guidance to developers and junior architects.
Assist in RFP responses, technical estimations, and client proposal presentations.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
8+ years of experience in application development and architecture.
Strong understanding of Azure cloud-native patterns and enterprise integration patterns.
Proficiency in .NET Core / Java / Node.js for backend and RESTful API design.
Hands-on with microservices, containers, Docker, and Kubernetes (AKS).
Experience with cloud CI/CD pipelines, IaC (ARM/Bicep/Terraform), and release automation.
Strong understanding of security best practices, networking, and identity management in Azure.
Soft Skills
Excellent communication and client interaction abilities.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving.
Ability to mentor and influence cross-functional teams.
Comfortable working in agile, fast-paced environments.
Preferred/Good to Have
Azure certifications such as:
AZ-305: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
AZ-204: Azure Developer Associate
AZ-400: DevOps Engineer Expert
Experience with event streaming (Event Hub, Kafka).
Experience in enterprise domains like BFSI, Retail, Healthcare, Telecom.
Knowledge of TOGAF or similar EA frameworks
