Role description
This is an opportunity for a Data Scientist to play a key role in building Machine Learning and AI Solutions for customers, at the forefront of MS Azure technologies. The successful candidate will have commercial experience leading a team or working independently.
Responsibilities:
• Take a lead role in the design and development of machine learning, computer vision, statistical algorithms and solutions.
• Help clients realise the potential of data science, machine learning, and scaled data processing within the Azure ecosystem.
• Lead and support multi-disciplinary teams, taking ownership for the delivery of core solution components.
• Manage the design and delivery of the data architecture.
• Communicate and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and customers using tools such as Power BI, Azure Data Explorer, and Azure Cognitive Services.
• Work directly with clients to understand requirements and present solutions to customer sponsors.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Microsoft Azure expertise, setting the technical direction across Microsoft Azure AI Services, Azure Machine Learning and Microsoft CoPilot.
• Extensive experience with Data Visualisation tools, Databricks, ML Flow, storytelling tools and techniques.
• Strong commercial experience creating predictive models, statistical analysis, and pricing analysis.
• Working with large data sets (real time, storage, and geo-spatial data).
• Writing and reviewing data science code, proficient in Python, C#, SQL, R, or other programming languages for data analysis and machine learning.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong appetite to work closely with customers.
• A background in data science or data engineering.
• Desirable: Retail Industry experience
