Role description
Position Overview
Our client is seeking an Azure DevSecOps Engineer to support a large-scale modernization initiative within the transportation industry. The engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining secure components throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring compliance, reliability, and performance across all Azure-based systems.
The role focuses on supporting critical applications and infrastructure that power transportation network operations, including systems for title, registration, and driver services. These applications are built primarily with .NET technologies and hosted entirely on Microsoft Azure.
Key Responsibilities And Skills
• Build and administer CI/CD pipelines
• Manage and optimize build (CI) and release (CD) processes
• Handle application configuration management using Azure App Configuration and ADO Library
• Automate workflows with PowerShell scripting
• Administer Azure DevOps and repositories (TFVC or Git)
• Troubleshoot build or code merging issues with development teams
• Provide support for .NET Core 2.x, .NET 6, .NET Framework 4.x, and Angular applications
• Manage Azure resources including App Configuration, Key Vault, App Services, and Virtual Machines
• Administer service principals, app registrations, and enterprise applications
• Perform general Azure platform administration for both PaaS and IaaS environments
• Lead DevOps initiatives related to release management, after-hours deployments, and change control
• Serve as the subject matter expert for DevOps migrations and platform upgrades
• Oversee repository migrations from TFVC to Git-based systems
• Support Azure DevOps Server upgrades and maintenance
• Build and maintain new build servers
• Identify and implement automation opportunities
• Collaborate across teams to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient infrastructure operations
