Role Overview You will work as part of a collaborative, high-performing engineering team, helping to design, build, and operate robust Azure-based platforms using modern DevOps and automation practices. Key Responsibilities • Design, build, and support Azure IaaS and PaaS solutions, including Logic Apps, Web Apps, API Management (APIM), Application Gateways, Virtual Networks (VNets), and related services • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using ARM Templates and/or Terraform • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using YAML • Deploy and manage containerised applications using Docker and/or Service Fabric • Support identity and access management using Azure Entra ID (Azure AD) and Azure B2C • Write and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell or similar scripting languages • Work with Git-based source control and modern branching strategies • Collaborate with development and architecture teams to support application delivery • Contribute to networking architecture and cloud security best practices • Support and maintain data-driven services using SQL and Entity Framework • Ensure platforms meet security, governance, and compliance standards required for government environments Essential Skills & Experience • Active SC clearance (mandatory) • Proven experience working as a DevOps Engineer in Azure environments • Strong understanding of Azure IaaS & PaaS services, including: • Logic Apps • Web Apps • API Management (APIM) • Application Gateways • Virtual Networks (VNets) • Containerisation experience using Docker and/or Service Fabric (mandatory) • Experience with ARM Templates and/or Terraform (mandatory) • Hands-on experience with Azure Entra ID (AAD) and Azure B2C (mandatory) • Strong CI/CD pipeline experience using YAML • Proficient with Git • Scripting experience using PowerShell or equivalent • Working knowledge of SQL and Entity Framework • Understanding of networking architecture and IAM principles • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in distributed teams Why Join Amber Labs? • Work on high-impact public sector projects • Join a fast-growing consultancy with a strong engineering culture • UK-remote working • Supportive, collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement • Opportunity to work with modern cloud and DevOps tooling Important Information • Active SC clearance is required – candidates without SC clearance cannot be considered • We are unable to consider candidates who require sponsorship or hold a visa of any type
