Role description
About the Role MegaminxX is seeking a senior Azure Solution Architect with deep expertise in Azure data engineering and analytics. This role requires hands-on architecture experience across modern Azure data platforms—including Microsoft Fabric, Data Factory, Synapse, Purview, and lakehouse patterns—and the ability to design, assess, and guide end-to-end data modernization initiatives. You will support pre-sales, technical assessments, solution architecture, and delivery oversight, with the ability to work confidently with both technical teams and executive stakeholders. This posting is part of MegaminxX’s Talent Network, created to identify strong Azure/Fabric architects for upcoming US-based client engagements. Responsibilities Architecture & Solution Design • Architect end-to-end data and analytics solutions on Microsoft Fabric and the broader Azure ecosystem (Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse, Purview, SQL, Power BI). • Define architecture blueprints, modernization roadmaps, and best-practice design patterns. • Conduct technical assessments for data platform modernization, BI modernization, and AI readiness. • Lead design for Lakehouse-based data engineering, ingestion, transformation, and modeling workflows. • Provide architectural guidance during pre-sales and ensure smooth transition into delivery teams. Pre-Sales & Executive Interaction • Support pursuit teams with solution approaches, scoping, estimations, and proposals. • Present Azure/Fabric-based architectures to technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Participate in executive workshops to define modernization vision, requirements, and outcomes. Thought Leadership & Enablement • Stay current with Fabric workloads (Data Engineering, Data Factory, Data Science, Real-Time Intelligence, Data Warehouse). • Evangelize Azure + Fabric best practices internally and externally. • Mentor engineers and junior architects on Azure-native architectures. Collaboration • Work closely with delivery leads, sales, and practice leadership. • Coordinate with global teams (onshore/offshore) across project cycles. • Contribute to internal assets, frameworks, and accelerators related to Azure and Fabric. Qualifications Required • 8–12+ years in cloud/data/analytics architecture. • 4+ years architecting solutions on Azure (Data Lake, Data Factory, Functions, Synapse, ADF pipelines, Purview). • Hands-on experience designing or implementing Microsoft Fabric workloads. • Strong understanding of Lakehouse architectures, ETL/ELT pipelines, semantic modeling, and governance. • Experience presenting to technical and business stakeholders, including senior leadership. • Strong communication skills — capable of translating technical concepts into clear, actionable narratives. • Prior experience in consulting, professional services, or client-facing architecture roles. Preferred Certifications: • Azure Solutions Architect Expert • Azure Data Engineer Associate • DP-600 or Fabric-related certifications (preferred but not mandatory) Experience with Databricks, Power BI, or hybrid Azure analytics architectures.
