Azure Solutions Architect/Consultant
6 Months + Extensions
100% Remote
Pay Rate: Flexible ~ starting at roughly $100/hour
New Role: Azure Cloud Engineer / Azure SME
We have an immediate need for a highly experienced Azure Subject Matter Expert to support a team that is early in their Azure journey. This engagement is focused on providing strong hands-on support while also helping upskill the internal team through knowledge transfer and close collaboration.
This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys stepping into complex environments, bringing structure and stability, and serving as a trusted Azure expert for multiple stakeholders.
What Weβre Looking For
This is not a generalist cloud engineer. We are specifically seeking deep, specialized Azure expertise in the following areas:
β’ Azure App Services
β’ Azure Front Door
β’ Azure Analytics and Monitoring (Log Analytics, Application Insights, Metrics)
β’ Azure SQL Managed Instance (SQL MI)
The ideal person will be comfortable taking ownership of troubleshooting efforts, performance optimization, and overall system visibility across these services.
What Theyβll Be Doing
β’ Act as the Azure subject matter expert for product and engineering teams
β’ Troubleshoot CRM-related issues and help stabilize the current environment
β’ Improve performance, monitoring, and observability across Azure services
β’ Help implement best practices for analytics, metrics, and alerting
β’ Provide hands-on training and meaningful knowledge transfer to internal teams
Engagement Details
β’ Duration: approximately 6 months
β’ Primary Goal: stabilize the current environment while upskilling the internal team
β’ Environment: the team is relatively new to Azure, so strong communication and coaching ability is critical
Ideal Candidate Profile
β’ Strong Azure platform depth (not just surface-level exposure)
β’ Proven experience with Azure Front Door and App Services in production environments
β’ Comfortable working in high-visibility troubleshooting and performance tuning scenarios
β’ Experience training or mentoring teams is a strong plus
β’ Ability to operate effectively as both a hands-on contributor and a trusted advisor
