Backend API Developer

Insight Global is seeking a short-term backend developer to join their team based in Tampa. This person will be expected to come onsite 2-3x a week to support this transportation and logistics client. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust and scalable APIs that power their applications and services. You’ll work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps to ensure seamless integration and high performance across platforms. Desired Skillset: • 3-5+ years of experience in backend development • Proficiency in Java as backend languages • Strong experience with API frameworks and tools (e.g., Express, FastAPI, Spring Boot). • Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles. • Familiarity with version control systems like Git Compensation: $40/hr to $55/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
