Role description
Behavioural Data Scientist - 100% Remote - Outside IR35 Contract - £600 day rate - Python/AWS - 8 week contract (likely extension)
Quick brief: research-heavy role working with behavioural sensor data to understand signal quality, noise, and how it impacts model performance.
What matters:
• Strong Python (pandas, NumPy, SciPy)
• Proper research mindset – comfortable reporting bad results, not just chasing accuracy
• Experience working with real-world data (messy, noisy, incomplete)
• Sensor / time-series data exposure (IMU, ECG, EMG ideal)
• Able to run experiments + analyse behavioural patterns
Nice to have:
• Behavioural science / biometrics / human activity recognition
• Experience with wearable or mobile data
• Background in research (industry or academic)
Day to day:
• Deep dive into behavioural datasets (movement, touch, device signals)
• Identify noise, bias, data gaps
• Run experiments + produce clear findings
• Work closely with AI team to improve models
