The difference you’ll make as a BI Analyst – Asset Strategy You will be responsible for delivering high-quality reporting and actionable insight to support the effective delivery and continuous improvement of services. The role focuses on interpreting operational and property asset performance data to help managers understand service and asset performance, identify issues, and take action. The postholder acts as a key link between data and delivery, turning information into clear, meaningful outputs that improve outcomes for customers and services. About You We are looking for someone with: • Experience of producing accurate, timely, and meaningful operational performance reports, dashboards, or management information to support service delivery and decision-making. • Experience analysing SOR based reactive repairs data to produce operational reporting and insights. • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, risks, issues, and root causes, and translate findings into clear, actionable insight. Role Profile • Performance Reporting (Asset Strategy & Delivery) • Produce accurate, timely, and consistent operational reporting across Asset Strategy & Delivery, including repairs and maintenance performance, planned works and capital delivery programmes, operational and property asset performance outcomes, and contractor and supplier performance. • Develop and maintain dashboards and performance packs for service managers and operational leaders to support day-to-day performance management, decision-making, and continuous improvement. • Develop an operational reporting framework and dictionary to ensure outputs are understood and align with agreed KPIs, definitions, and performance frameworks, working with central teams where required. • Focus on operational, delivery-led reporting, distinct from formal corporate reporting produced by the central Business Intelligence team. • Support teams to interpret performance information, identify issues, track improvement actions, and understand root causes. • Promote a consistent, data-informed performance culture across Asset Strategy & Delivery services. • Analytics and Insight (Asset Strategy & Delivery and Building Safety) • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of data pertaining to the location, configuration, condition, and performance of TRG built assets and their component parts. • Build knowledge of Asset Strategy & Delivery, Building Safety, and Repairs operations, to deepen understanding of the data and its drivers. • Work with stakeholders to identify and deliver analytics and insights that drive service improvement, support performance management, inform operational and strategic decisions, and provide a deep understanding of the condition and performance of TRG built assets. • Proactively analyse data to identify trends, emerging issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Translate findings into clear, actionable insights and communicate them effectively to stakeholders. • Develop self-service dashboards and reports to • Continuous improvement • Continuously improve reporting, analytic, and insight outputs so they are clear, concise, decision-focused, aligned to operational priorities, and efficient to maintain. • Develop and maintain dashboards and self-service reports to minimise manual intervention, provide repeatable insights, and disseminate information across TRG. • Contribute to the development of TRGs GIS as a tool to enhance reporting, analytics, insights, and service delivery. • Promote consistent use of reporting and a single version of performance information across teams. • Identify and flag data quality issues or inconsistencies to relevant data owners. • Stakeholder Engagement & Business Partnering • Build strong working relationships with teams across Asset Strategy and Delivery, Building Safety, and the central BI service. • Act as a trusted partner, supporting stakeholders to interpret performance data and apply insight in decision-making. • Present reporting and insights clearly in operational meetings, performance reviews, and briefings. • Respond to ad-hoc reporting requests, ensuring outputs remain focused on operational value and service improvement. Person Specificition Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience • Experience of producing accurate, timely, and meaningful operational performance reports, dashboards, or management information to support service delivery and decision-making. • Experience analysing SOR based reactive repairs data to produce operational reporting and insights. • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, risks, issues, and root causes, and translate findings into clear, actionable insight. • Experience of using reporting and analytics tools, such as Tableau, Excel, or equivalent systems, to develop dashboards, reports, and repeatable performance outputs. • Ability to work with operational stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, define performance measures, and present insight in a clear and practical way. • Good understanding of performance management, KPI frameworks, data definitions, and the importance of consistent reporting standards. • Ability to communicate complex information clearly to non-technical audiences, both verbally and in writing. • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify inconsistencies, anomalies, and data quality issues and escalate them to relevant data owners. • Ability to manage competing priorities, respond to ad-hoc reporting requests, and deliver outputs within agreed timescales. • Collaborative working style, with the ability to build effective relationships across operational, analytical, and business support teams. • Commitment to continuous improvement, including improving the clarity, usability, efficiency, and impact of reporting and insight outputs. Desirable • Experience of working within social housing, property services, repairs and maintenance, asset management, planned works, or building safety environments. • Knowledge of property asset data, including information relating to asset condition, configuration, components, location, service performance, or contractor delivery. • Experience of developing self-service reporting, dashboard automation, or performance packs that reduce manual reporting and support consistent use of information. • Experience of working with central business intelligence, data, or systems teams to align operational reporting with agreed definitions, governance arrangements, and corporate reporting frameworks. • Understanding of GIS-enabled reporting or spatial analysis and how it can support asset, property, and service delivery insight. • Experience of supporting performance reviews, service improvement meetings, or operational briefings through the presentation of data-led insight. • Knowledge of housing sector performance indicators, regulatory expectations, or service standards relevant to property services and asset management. • Ability to contribute to the development of reporting frameworks, data dictionaries, and standardised reporting approaches across services.
