Role: BI Consultant Tableau to Power BI Migration Location: Mount Laurel, NJ (Day 1 Onsite) - Need local candidate only Duration: Long Term Job Description: We are seeking a strong Power BI Consultant with hands-on experience in designing, developing, and implementing BI solutions. The ideal candidate should possess solid expertise in Power BI, working knowledge of Python, and practical experience in migrating reports and dashboards from Tableau to Power BI. Key Responsibilities: Lead and execute migration projects from Tableau to Power BI, ensuring smooth transition and data accuracy. Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions. Utilize Power Query, DAX, and Power BI Service for data modeling and visualization. Leverage Python for data manipulation, automation, or integration where applicable. Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance across all BI deliverables. Provide support, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for BI reports and datasets. Document processes, data flows, and technical specifications for BI solutions. Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong hands-on experience in Power BI (Desktop, Service, Gateway, DAX, Power Query). Proven experience in Tableau to Power BI migration projects. Average-level proficiency in Python for scripting or data preparation tasks. Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (star/snowflake schema) and SQL. Familiarity with data sources such as SQL Server, Excel, APIs, and cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS). Good communication and stakeholder management skills. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
