Responsibilities
Kforce has a client that is seeking a remote BI Developer to join their team. Summary: We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer and Automation Specialist to support the reporting and dashboarding needs of a dynamic Data Engineering initiative. This role will be instrumental in enabling data-driven decision-making through the development of interactive dashboards, and integrated reporting solutions. Key Responsibilities: Dashboard Development:
β’ Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports
β’ Translate business requirements into technical specifications and visualizations
β’ Ensure data accuracy, performance optimization, and user-friendly design
Data Integration & Transformation:
β’ Collaborate with Data Engineers to integrate data from various sources
β’ Support ETL processes and data transformation pipelines for reporting readiness
Automation & Workflow Optimization:
β’ Implement automation solutions using relevant tools
β’ Streamline reporting workflows and reduce manual data handling
Platform Transition Support
β’ Assist in migrating reporting assets and data models to new platforms
β’ Ensure continuity and performance of reporting during and after transition
Chat Flow Integration
β’ Support integration of chatbots or conversational interfaces with reporting tools
β’ Enable real-time data access and insights through chat-based workflows
Collaboration & Documentation:
β’ Work closely with cross-functional teams
β’ Document processes, data models, and dashboard usage guidelines
Requirements
β’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field; Will consider equivalent experience
β’ Experience: 5+ years
β’ Proven experience with Power BI; Advanced certifications in Power BI is a plus
β’ Experience with workflow automation tools
β’ Familiarity with data engineering concepts and cloud platforms
β’ Strong SQL skills and experience with APIs and data connectors
β’ Analytical Thinking: Ability to break down complex problems and identify data-driven solutions
β’ Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities
β’ Collaboration: Strong team player who can work effectively across departments and with diverse stakeholders
β’ Possess the ability to understand and work with data: Candidates must possess the ability to read, interpret, and communicate data effectively to help make informed decisions, identify patterns, and solve problems
β’ Communication: Clear and concise communicator, capable of translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences
β’ Initiative: Proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement and automation
β’ Attention to Detail: Meticulous in ensuring data accuracy and dashboard reliability
β’ Time Management: Skilled in managing multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
β’ Customer Focus: Committed to understanding user needs and delivering high-impact solutions
β’ Understanding of chatbot integration and conversational UI workflows is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
