Role Overview
We are seeking a BI Strategist to lead the design and execution of enterprise-scale data and analytics initiatives. This role will partner with business and technology stakeholders to define BI strategy, modernize data platforms, and drive actionable insights using AWS, Databricks, and Tableau.
The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with deep technical expertise in modern data ecosystems and visualization platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership
• Define and drive the enterprise BI and analytics strategy aligned with business objectives
• Partner with executive stakeholders to translate business goals into data-driven solutions
• Establish BI governance, data standards, and best practices
• Lead roadmap planning for data modernization and self-service analytics
Data Platform & Architecture
• Design scalable data architecture leveraging AWS (S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda) and Databricks (Delta Lake, Spark)
• Define data ingestion, transformation, and modeling frameworks
• Ensure data quality, lineage, and governance across platforms
Analytics & Visualization
• Lead development of executive dashboards and reporting solutions using Tableau
• Enable self-service BI capabilities across business teams
• Standardize KPI definitions and reporting frameworks
Delivery & Execution
• Oversee end-to-end BI program delivery, including data pipelines and reporting layers
• Collaborate with data engineering, data science, and business teams
• Drive agile delivery and ensure high-quality outcomes
Stakeholder Management
• Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders (CIO, CFO, Business Heads)
• Facilitate workshops to gather requirements and align on analytics use cases
• Communicate insights and recommendations effectively to non-technical stakeholders
Required Qualifications
• 10+ years in BI, analytics, or data strategy roles
• Strong experience with AWS data services (S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena, Lambda)
• Hands-on experience with Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, notebooks)
• Advanced expertise in Tableau (dashboard design, performance optimization, data modeling)
• Experience designing enterprise data models (dimensional and/or lakehouse architectures)
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance
• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and large-scale BI programs
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with modern data architecture patterns (Lakehouse, Data Mesh)
• Familiarity with Python/SQL for data analysis and transformation
• Exposure to AI/ML-driven analytics use cases
• Experience in cloud data migration and modernization initiatives
