Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid (Fully remote, or if local talent, Tues and Wed in office)
Contract Details
• Position Type: Contract (Open to contract with no work sponsorship and contract-to-perm; CTP preferred)
• Contract Duration: 1 year (with potential to extend and/or convert; likely 2-year assignment)
• Pay Rate: $56.00–$67.00 / Hour (USD)

The BI/Data Developer plays a meaningful role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive business decisions at our International Global Buying & Sourcing Offices (GBOs).

Key Responsibilities
• Extract, enrich and consolidate data from a variety of sources for reporting.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of data input and output.
• Identify and resolve data discrepancies between source systems and reporting output.
• Build and maintain MS Access databases to consolidate, enrich, and transform data.
• Design relational database structures, queries, forms, and modules to support notifications and reporting workflows.
• Integrate supplementary data including manual inputs, flat files, and external feeds to produce comprehensive, analysis-ready datasets.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance Excel VBA modules that support custom Excel-based tools.
• Build automated report generation pipelines to distribute reports via email or shared drives.
• Partner with associates at the GBOs to understand needs and deliver solutions.
• Translate business requirements into functional solutions that are intuitive, accurate, and maintainable.
• Proactively identify opportunities to streamline manual processes through automation and improved data workflows.
• Support ad-hoc analysis and special projects as assigned.
• Responsible for decisions that directly impact solution delivery timelines.
• Responsible for project decisions on new features and functionality enhancements, as well as release strategy.
• Responsible for determining project scope and completion criteria.

Required Experience
• 5–10 years of experience in a developer/programmer role AND business intelligence, data analyst or reporting analyst role (combination of both types of experience to make up the 5–10 years experience).

Education Requirements
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.

Required Skills
• Proficient in programming with Excel VBA, including event-driven programming using UserForms, ADO/DAO database connectivity, and workbook automation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Access, including relational data model design, forms, data import/export automation, and VBA.
• Proficiency writing raw SQL queries to extract, filter, augment, and aggregate data.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 automation (Power Platform, SharePoint integration, Power BI).
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts, data cleansing, and ETL fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Detail-oriented, comfortable digging into code and working with imperfect data sets.
• Superb communication skills and a "can do" demeanor.
• Proven experience supporting non-technical people and maintaining solutions.
• Ability to identify and implement process improvements through automation.
• Skills in creating and maintaining technical documentation for data solutions and processes.
• Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
