Role: BI/Data Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled BI/Data Developer with strong expertise in Excel VBA development, Microsoft Access, SQL, and Power BI to support enterprise reporting, automation, and business intelligence initiatives.
This role is a blend of Developer and Data Engineering/BI responsibilities, focused on building automated reporting solutions, developing dashboards, and supporting data-driven business operations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Microsoft-based technologies, reporting automation, and analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Develop and maintain advanced Excel VBA applications including UserForms, event-driven programming, workbook automation, and ADO/DAO database connectivity
β’ Design and support Microsoft Access databases including relational data modeling, forms development, VBA automation, and data import/export processes
β’ Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, aggregation, filtering, and reporting
β’ Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions
β’ Support Microsoft 365 automation initiatives using Power Platform and SharePoint integration
β’ Perform data cleansing, validation, and ETL-related activities
β’ Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather reporting and automation requirements
β’ Troubleshoot and enhance existing reporting tools, databases, and automation processes
Required Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs or Associateβs degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Science, or related field
β’ 5β10 years of combined experience in software development/programming and business intelligence, data analysis, or reporting analytics
β’ Strong hands-on experience with Excel VBA, Microsoft Access, SQL, and Power BI
β’ Experience with UserForms, workbook automation, ADO/DAO connectivity, and relational database design
β’ Knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data cleansing methodologies
β’ Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience developing enterprise reporting dashboards
β’ Experience supporting operational reporting and analytics initiatives
β’ Exposure to workflow automation and process optimization projects
β’ Experience working in fast-paced enterprise environments
Compensation & Work Schedule
Compensation:
Estimated hourly range: $60/hr to $65/hr (W-2).
Final rate within this range will be based on skills, experience, and interview results.
