Title: Big Data Engineer
Location: Seattle or Burbank, CA
Long term contract
Only W2 no C2C
Required Skills
• Minimum 8+ years of experience needed.
· Strong hands-on experience managing on‑prem Hadoop clusters (HDFS, YARN, Hive)
· Ability to build and maintain ETL pipelines using Spark (preferably Scala)
· Ingestion using Kafka / Sqoop / NiFi
· Hive and query performance tuning
· Strong SQL knowledge
· Workflow scheduling using Oozie or Airflow
· Hadoop security (Kerberos, Ranger/Sentry)
Certifications
· Cloudera Certified Administrator for Hadoop (CCA‑131) – Preferred
· Any Cloud Platform Certification (Good to have)
