Job#: 3028680 Job Description: Client: Financial Services Team: TBA Job Title: Software Engineer 3 – Big Data Developer (Contingent) Location: Zone 2 Contract Length: 12mo Pay Rate: $53 - $57 ✅ Top Requirements • 4+ years Software Engineering experience, specifically within Big Data environments. • Strong hands‑on experience with: • Apache Spark • Scala • Python • Autosys • Git • Linux Shell / Command Line • Proven ability to lead and own end‑to‑end workstreams. • Big Data processing experience across Source, Conform, Curate pipelines. • Experience working in JIRA Agile delivery environments. ✅ Plusses • Wells Fargo experience using Flow Master, Edit Upload, Dremio, or similar homegrown platform tools. • Financial Crimes domain experience, especially preparing data for: • Transaction Monitoring • Customer Risk • Investigations • Strong understanding of data controls, lineage, and quality processes. • Experience with Big Data query tools and editors (PyCharm, VS Code, Dremio). ✅ Job Summary This Software Engineer 3 role focuses on Big Data engineering within large‑scale, enterprise data platforms supporting Financial Crimes use cases. The engineer will build, enhance, and support Spark‑based data pipelines across Source, Conform, and Curate layers. The role requires strong technical skills across Spark, Scala, Python, Linux, and Autosys, along with proven ability to lead and manage full workstreams independently. The engineer will collaborate with data SMEs, financial crimes analysts, and engineering partners to deliver high‑quality datasets used for Transaction Monitoring, Investigations, Customer Risk profiling, and other FinCrime analytics functions. ✅ Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities • Develop and enhance Spark/Scala/Python pipelines across Big Data layers. • Manage workflows and scheduling using Autosys. • Work across Linux command-line environments for development and troubleshooting. • Use Git for source control and versioning of data pipeline code. • Perform data processing and curation for FinCrime use cases (TM, Investigations, Risk). • Interface with tools such as PyCharm, Dremio, Flow Master, or similar editors. • Apply strong data controls and ensure compliance with data lineage and governance requirements. • Participate in Agile ceremonies using JIRA; maintain sprint deliverable quality. • Lead and own assigned workstreams from design → build → validation → deploy.
