We are seeking a Data Engineer / Big Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions that enable faster and more reliable insights across the organization. This role focuses on working with large, complex datasets and developing high-performance data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data platforms
• Work with large datasets (structured & unstructured) including time-series and text data
• Build and optimize data processing frameworks using modern big data technologies
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance across systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision making
• Reduce data-to-insight lead time through efficient data engineering practices
Required Skills & Experience
• 4–6 years of experience in Data Engineering / Big Data Engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Python or Scala
• Experience with Big Data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, Hive, etc.)
• Solid understanding of SQL & NoSQL databases
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines (ETL/ELT)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Nice to Have
• Experience with data lakes / distributed data systems
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• Understanding of data modeling and architecture
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
