Bilingual (JPN/ENG) Cloud Architect (OpenShift)

3 days per week onsite work, Must be able to come to the Melville, NY office. Supporting Migration from VMware Environment to OpenShift Technical Skills VMware Expertise: In-depth knowledge of VMware infrastructure, including ESXi, vCenter, and related management tools. OpenShift Proficiency: Thorough understanding of OpenShift architecture, deployment, and management. Containerization: Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their integration with OpenShift. Networking: Strong grasp of network protocols, configuration, and security within virtualized and containerized environments. Storage Solutions: Knowledge of storage technologies and their integration with both VMware and OpenShift. Security: Expertise in implementing security best practices in both VMware and OpenShift environments. Migration Experience Migration Planning: Ability to develop detailed migration plans, including risk assessment, timelines, and resource allocation. Data Migration: Experience in migrating data from VMware to OpenShift with minimal downtime and data loss. Application Refactoring: Knowledge of refactoring applications to run efficiently in containerized environments. Automation: Proficiency in using automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) for migration tasks. Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving skills to address issues that arise during migration. Soft Skills Communication: Excellent communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders and report progress. Leadership: Ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers throughout the migration process.
