We are seeking a Scientist III with strong bioinformatics expertise to support next-generation sequencing (NGS) analysis and multi-omics data integration for therapeutic target identification and biomarker discovery.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Design, implement, and deploy NGS data analysis workflows for processing, visualization, integration, and data mining
β’ Perform omics data analysis and interpret genomic datasets (bulk RNA-seq, scRNA-seq, ATAC-Seq)
β’ Analyze and integrate multi-omics datasets to identify drug discovery targets and characterize immune disease biology
β’ Develop and apply data visualization tools (e.g., R Shiny, D3)
β’ Conduct data mining across internal, collaborative, and public databases
β’ Benchmark tools/methods and implement appropriate QC measures
β’ Develop innovative analytical approaches when standard methods are insufficient
β’ Interpret and present results to cross-functional teams and collaborators
β’ Automate data processing, reporting, and delivery pipelines
β’ Contribute to technical documentation, protocols, and reports
β’ Stay current with scientific literature and emerging bioinformatics practices
β’ Ensure compliance with SOPs, data integrity standards, and regulatory requirements
Required Skills & Experience
β’ Experience in one or more areas:
β’ NGS data analysis
β’ Functional genomics
β’ Statistical analysis of large-scale datasets
β’ Multi-omics data integration
β’ Strong knowledge of bioinformatics databases and file formats
β’ Deep understanding of computational methods for NGS analysis and public data resources
β’ Hands-on experience with:
β’ R, Python, R Shiny
β’ UNIX/Linux and Bash scripting
β’ Workflow tools (e.g., Nextflow)
β’ Cloud computing and visualization tools
β’ R/Bioconductor packages
β’ Ability to write well-designed, documented code
β’ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
β’ Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional environments
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education
β’ Masterβs degree in Bioinformatics, Genomics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or related field with 1+ year of experience
β’ OR
β’ Bachelorβs degree in a STEM field with 7+ years of relevant experience
π‘ Pharmaceutical research experience is a plus.
