Biotech Health Data Governance Lead (AI Training)
About The Role
What if your expertise in biotech data governance could directly shape how AI understands and works with clinical and research data at scale? We're looking for a Biotech Health Data Governance Lead to ensure that the research and clinical trial data powering next-generation AI models is accurate, traceable, compliant, and ready for scientific discovery and regulatory scrutiny.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for experienced professionals in life sciences, clinical research, or regulated data environments who want to apply their expertise to something genuinely groundbreaking.
• Organization: Alignerr
• Type: Hourly Contract
• Location: Remote
• Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
• Govern biotech research and clinical trial data to ensure accuracy, lineage, and auditability across scientific analysis and regulatory submissions
• Define and enforce data policies covering classification, access controls, security protocols, and metadata standards across research, clinical, regulatory, and partner teams
• Enable secure, governed access to data assets for analytics, innovation, and external collaborations — while rigorously protecting confidential and patient-related information
• Identify gaps in existing data workflows and drive improvements that support compliance and scientific integrity
• Collaborate with scientific, IT, compliance, and business stakeholders to align data standards and governance frameworks
Who You Are
• Experienced in leading or implementing data governance programs in biotech, life sciences, clinical research, or regulated data environments
• Deeply knowledgeable about data privacy, security, and compliance requirements for research and clinical trial data
• Skilled at bridging the gap between scientific, technical, and compliance teams — translating complex requirements into clear, actionable data standards
• Detail-oriented and methodical, with a track record of enforcing governance frameworks that hold up under regulatory scrutiny
• Comfortable working independently and asynchronously in a remote, flexible environment
Nice to Have
• Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or AI training data evaluation
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as GCP, HIPAA, GDPR, or FDA data requirements
• Background in clinical data management, bioinformatics, or health informatics
• Experience working with cross-functional or globally distributed teams
Why Join Us
• Work at the intersection of life sciences and cutting-edge AI with leading research organizations
• Fully remote and flexible — structure your work around your schedule
• Freelance autonomy with the substance of meaningful, high-impact work
