Role description
Position: BA : Business Analyst Location: Columbus, OH - Hybrid Role. In Person Interviews Duration: 10 to 11 Months Fingerprint background checks are a requirement. Skills Matrix: β€’ Requires an understanding of Application Architecture, re-architecting, or rebuilding strategies Viz., Azure Functions, API’s Sql Server, .NET Core. β€’ Legacy Systems Analysis and Integration points to determine modernization path. β€’ Familiarity with Cloud Technologies, Microservices and modern DevOps practices β€’ Experience with Project & Portfolio management tools like Clarity PPM, Azure DevOps, SharePoint and other off-the-shelf operational systems β€’ Past projects that involved writing requirements for legacy system migration, re-factoring or modernization would be highly preferred. β€’ 4 year college Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or Business with a focus on Technology β€’ At least One Certification from IIBA as a Business Analyst. Other Agile/Scrum certifications can strengthen credibility. Job description: The Business Analyst serves as a Senior Level Analyst responsible for leading the Business Analysis activities for the Modernization and full re-write of enterprise .NET Applications. The BA3 acts as a Bridge between business/program teams and Software development teams ensuring alignment, clarity and traceability from Intake of requirements through Delivery. Business Analysis Skills: β€’ Lead the Elicitation, Documentation and Validation of Business, Functional and Non-functional requirements. β€’ Facilitate Interviews and working sessions with Program teams, SME’s and Technical Staff. β€’ Develop User Stories, Acceptance Criteria and process flows. β€’ Document current state workflows, System dependencies and processes. β€’ Design future state workflows aligned with Modernization goals and .NET Architectural changes if any. β€’ Create process Maps, Decision Trees and Workflow Diagrams using Visio and other Modeling Tools. β€’ Support Data Migration Planning by documenting Data Models, Business Rules and transformation Logic. β€’ Experience developing Quality-of-service (non-functional) requirements - are requirements that do not perform a specific function for the business requirement but are needed to support the functionality. For example: performance, scalability, quality of service (QoS), security and usability. β€’ Experience developing Report Specifications - define the purpose of a report, its justification, attributes and columns, owners and runtime parameters. β€’ Strong organization and writing skills. Experienced developing graphic representations of complex business processes. β€’ Provide requisite Support for Quality Assurance testing, UAT Coordination, Defect Triage and Validation of Fixes. β€’ Review System Behavior aligns with documented requirements and Program expectations β€’ Communicate Project Status, Risks and Decisions to PM and other leadership. Technical Skills: β€’ Requires an understanding of Application Architecture, re-architecting, or rebuilding strategies Viz., Azure Functions, API’s Sql Server, .NET Core. β€’ Legacy Systems Analysis and Integration points to determine modernization path. β€’ Familiarity with Cloud Technologies, Microservices and modern DevOps practices β€’ Tool Proficiency: Experience with Project & Portfolio management tools like Clarity PPM, Azure DevOps, SharePoint and other off-the-shelf operational systems. Experience: β€’ Ideally, 8 years of relevant experience required. Past projects that involved writing requirements for legacy system migration, re-factoring or modernization would be highly preferred. β€’ Experience leading Teams cross development, operations, security and business needs. Educational requirements: β€’ Education: 4 year college Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or Business with a focus on Technology β€’ Certifications: At least One Certification from IIBA as a Business Analyst. Other Agile/Scrum certifications can strengthen credibility. The Position is Hybrid and the hire should be able to come to office in Columbus as needed.
