Role description
Our automotive client is seeking a Business Analyst! This role is onsite in Torrance, 40 hours/week for a year with the possibility of being ongoing. This Business Analyst supports customer and dealer experience improvements by enhancing systems, processes, and digital capabilities. Reporting into the Digital Marketing division, this role partners closely with business stakeholders and IT to analyze needs, define requirements, and support the delivery and ongoing stability of enterprise digital applications. The primary platform focus is an ecommerce platform, with an emphasis on dealer enrollment, onboarding support, order management, and related enhancements. WAHT YOU'LL DO: - Support the ongoing enhancement and stability of ecommerce platform, with a focus on dealer-facing capabilities including enrollment, post-onboarding support, and order management - Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements using artifacts such as user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and use cases - Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives - Collaborate with product owners, developers, QA, and business stakeholders throughout design, build, and release activities -Support production operations including incident analysis, defect triage, and coordination of resolution activities - Identify opportunities to improve processes, system functionality, and user experience based on feedback, data, and observed trends - Lead or support user acceptance testing (UAT), regression testing, and release validation activities - Create and maintain reports and dashboards to support operational needs and decision-making - Support change management activities including business communications, user documentation, and dealer training materials - Serve as a point of contact for questions and issues from business partners, internal teams, and dealers - Clearly communicate requirements, impacts, and status updates to both technical and non-technical audiences WHAT YOU'LL NEED: - Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience with relevant training - 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role supporting digital applications - Experience working in Agile or iterative delivery environments - Experience supporting production systems, including incident management and post-release support - Familiarity with ecommerce, dealer-facing, or customer-facing platforms (preferred) - Working knowledge of tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar backlog and requirements management systems - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail - Ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously - Adaptable, with the ability to learn new systems, platforms, and business domains over time - Experience in automotive, retail, or dealer-based business models is a plus In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.
