Business Analyst
Salary: $40.00 to $42.00 hourly
Description
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Business Analyst III to join our team in Chicago, IL. In this senior-level role, you will collaborate with business units and technical teams to deliver IT solutions that align with strategic objectives and enhance operational efficiency. This is a long-term contract position, offering the opportunity to work on complex projects with occasional in-person meetings or workshops.
Key Responsibilities
• Requirements Gathering & Analysis
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define business needs.
• Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
• Process Mapping & Documentation
• Create AS-IS and TO-BE process maps, flowcharts, and diagrams.
• Document both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Translate business needs into user stories and specifications.
• Update and maintain documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Solution Design & Agile Implementation
• Work with remote development teams to translate requirements into technical deliverables.
• Lead Agile ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Refinement Sessions.
• Participate in UAT testing and prioritize backlog based on business value and urgency.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
• Act as a liaison between business and technology teams.
• Facilitate workshops, presentations, and meetings to align requirements.
• Ensure formal sign-off of requirements from business stakeholders.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Skilled in process mapping and documentation tools.
• Strong focus on data-driven decision-making.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead initiatives with minimal supervision.
• Experience in Agile methodologies and tools.
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
Preferred/Additional Experience
• Familiarity with financial services, data-heavy environments, APIs, KYC/payment processes, or banking integrations.
• Understanding of test planning and change management.
