This role is ideal for a professional experienced in business process reengineering, system migration, and stakeholder collaboration. You will play a key role in bridging business needs with technical solutions during a technology migration initiative. 🔎 Position Overview The Business Analyst 2 will review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs while formulating solutions aligned with overall business strategies. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, hands-on experience with system migrations, and the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders. 🛠 Key Responsibilities 📌 Requirements Elicitation & Documentation • Identify, define, and document business and technical requirements. • Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications. • Write detailed descriptions of user needs and program functions. 📌 Data Mapping & Transformation • Analyze legacy and target system data structures. • Identify and map data fields from source to target systems. • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and completeness during migration. 📌 Process Modeling • Document As-Is (current state) and To-Be (future state) business processes. • Apply industry-standard business process mapping and reengineering techniques. 📌 Gap Analysis • Identify functionality and data gaps between legacy and new systems. • Propose solutions for process improvement, data cleansing, and system enhancements. • Perform cost/benefit analysis, ROI analysis, and buy/build evaluations. 📌 Validation & Testing • Define test cases and validation criteria. • Perform data validation and ensure consistency. • Lead and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT). 📌 Stakeholder Management • Facilitate workshops and requirement sessions. • Communicate progress, manage risks, and align expectations. • Collaborate closely with business users and technical teams. 📌 Documentation & Training • Develop user manuals and functional documentation. • Support training efforts for end users. • Ensure smooth adoption of new systems. ✅ Required Qualifications • Experience as a Business Analyst supporting system migration or modernization projects. • Strong knowledge of business process mapping and reengineering. • Experience with data mapping, data transformation, and validation. • Familiarity with financial analysis (Cost/Benefit, ROI, Buy vs. Build). • Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. • Experience supporting UAT and testing cycles. 💡 Preferred Skills • Experience working with legacy-to-modern system migrations. • Knowledge of data governance and data quality principles. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work in a hybrid/onsite environment in Austin, TX.
