Role description
A Robert Half client in Seattle WA is modernizing operational systems across maintenance, compliance, and field operations. They have a need for an Operations Business Analyst who will focus on process discovery, data mapping, and preparing for ERP migration. This 12-18 month contract role is hybrid onsite in Seattle, applicants not in the local Seattle market will not be considered for this opportunity. Core Responsibilities β€’ Document end-to-end operational workflows (maintenance, compliance, field ops) β€’ Map data flows across SaaS, legacy systems, and databases β€’ Identify process and data breakdowns β€’ Extract/analyze data from: β€’ SQL Server environments β€’ SaaS platforms (CSV/API) β€’ Support data validation and cleanup β€’ Execute workstream tasks under BCM leadership β€’ Prepare systems/processes for future-state ERP migration Required Qualifications β€’ Prior experience with ERP transformation initiatives β€’ Strong ability to: β€’ Query and analyze data using SQL Server β€’ Work with large, inconsistent datasets β€’ Extract data from SaaS platforms (CSV/API) β€’ Experience with: β€’ Workflow/process documentation β€’ Data cleansing and validation Preferred Experience β€’ Familiarity with: β€’ Microsoft Dynamics ecosystem (helpful but not required) β€’ Great Plains (current ERP environment exposure is a plus) β€’ Intelex, eMaint, or similar platforms β€’ Exposure to: β€’ Maintenance, compliance, or operational environments β€’ Experience with fragmented or loosely structured systems What Success Looks Like β€’ You can reverse-engineer undocumented operational systems β€’ You identify where data and process don’t align β€’ You operate effectively in messy, real-world environments β€’ You execute and support, rather than lead full workstreams Screening Focus Prioritize: β€’ SQL + operational data experience β€’ Multi-system process documentation experience β€’ Comfort with ambiguity β€’ Exposure to Dynamics / Great Plains environments as a plus Avoid: β€’ Candidates needing structured environments β€’ Functional-only profiles without technical depth Additional Recruiter Context β€’ Phase 0 = high ambiguity, heavy data discovery β€’ Current ERP = Great Plains β€’ Desired future direction may align with Dynamics ecosystem (not yet confirmed) β€’ Strong intent to extend resources ~12 months into implementation
