Role description
We are looking for an IT‑focused Business Analyst to support a leading trading firm in London. You will work closely with traders, risk, operations, and technology teams to improve trading systems, streamline workflows, and support fast‑paced front‑office activity.
Key Responsibilities
• Gather and translate business requirements into clear IT specifications.
• Support and enhance trading platforms (Bloomberg, Eikon, ICE, market data & pricing tools).
• Analyse trade lifecycle processes and identify areas for automation or improvement.
• Coordinate with developers, QA, and vendors to deliver system enhancements.
• Support integrations, data flows, and API‑based connections across trading, risk, and reporting systems.
• Produce documentation (BRDs, user stories, process maps) and drive UAT.
Required Skills
• Strong understanding of trading environments and the full trade lifecycle.
• Good technical ability: SQL, data analysis, APIs, integrations, system workflows.
• Experience with Windows environments and general trading system support.
• Excellent communication skills for working with traders and IT teams.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and handle fast‑paced environments.
Preferred
• Experience with ETRM/CTRM platforms (Endur, Eka, Allegro, etc.).
• Familiarity with Agile delivery.
• Exposure to cloud (Azure/AWS) is a plus.
