This individual is detail-oriented, comfortable working in agile settings, and capable of owning processes end-to-end. They demonstrate adaptability, clear communication, and a passion for improving operational efficiency through technology; Preferred Industry Experience: Experience in financial services or auto lending, particularly within credit operations or loan origination workflows, is highly preferred. Candidates with exposure to compliance-driven environments will excel; Tools and Technologies: -Python, Snowflake, Power BI, Power Automate -Loan Origination Systems (LOS) (optional) -JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite; Education: -Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience). -No mandatory certifications, but data analytics or automation-related certifications are a plus; Work Schedule: Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite in Charlotte, Dallas, or Detroit; standard business hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST); Interview Process: 2 rounds, Initial screening (video conference) Level 2 assessment (video conference) The Work Itself • Partner with wider business teams to identify automation opportunities in manual or high-effort areas (e.g., reporting, data validation, system monitoring). • Learn and internalize how key systems operate — particularly Loan Origination Systems (LOS) and supporting platforms used across Auto Credit Operations. • Design and implement automated workflows using: • Python for ETL, API calls, log analysis, and rule-based actions • Power Automate to automate business processes (e.g., data ingestion, status updates, approval routing) • Snowflake to clean, model, and store data for automation pipelines • Power BI to create dynamic dashboards that visualize system health, process performance, and operational metrics • Take ownership of existing automation workflows during onboarding — including inherited scripts, dashboards, and processes. • Collaborate with IT teams for access, security reviews, and compliance requirements. • Document requirements, track progress, and manage deliverables using JIRA and Confluence, aligning with partner team practices (including sprint planning and backlog grooming). • Troubleshoot issues in automated systems — diagnosing root causes in data flow, logic, or integration points. The Skills You Bring • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field; or equivalent experience. • 2–3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with proven delivery of automation or process improvement initiatives. • Proven proficiency in at least one scripting/automation language — Python is required for building data pipelines and automating workflows. • Experience working with data in Snowflake (SQL + Python) to transform raw inputs into usable datasets. • Hands-on experience creating reports and dashboards using Power BI, including handling complex or unstructured source data. • Proven experience working directly with business teams to understand needs, define automation opportunities, and deliver solutions — including ongoing maintenance, refinement, and support. • Ability to build trust through clear communication, active listening, and consistent delivery. • Demonstrated success in translating ambiguous or evolving business requirements into reliable, automated workflows that are adopted and used over time. • Comfort operating in agile environments using JIRA for task management and Confluence for documentation. • Excellent written and oral presentation skills with ability to influence stakeholders. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint) Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves) • Experience automating business processes using Power Automate or similar tools (e.g., UIPath, Automation Anywhere). • Exposure to integrating AI models via API — especially for tasks like log analysis or report drafting. • Understanding of prompt engineering basics for guiding consistent output from generative tools (e.g., internal LLMs). • Experience with low-code/no-code automation platforms in a business context. • Familiarity with internal systems used in auto lending — especially Loan Origination Systems (LOS) and related platforms. • Understanding of business dynamics in credit operations: decisioning, underwriting workflows, compliance reporting, system uptime tracking.
