Role: Business Analyst (Banking & MARTECH) Locations: New York City, NY Job Description: β€’ Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to gather and document business and technical requirements for email marketing campaigns. β€’ Create detailed Technical Specification Documents (TSDs) that serve as the foundation for campaign execution across multiple workstreams and teams. β€’ Analyze incoming data files from both bank and merchant partners to identify required data points and segmentation logic. β€’ Define audience segmentation criteria and exclusion rules based on campaign goals and business requirements. β€’ Design and document campaign workflows, including data ingestion, segmentation, dynamic content mapping, and suppression logic. β€’ Coordinate with cross-functional teams including database engineers, developers, QA analysts, and SFMC architects to ensure alignment on campaign requirements. β€’ Interface directly with clients to clarify requirements, present documentation, and respond to inquiries with professionalism and accuracy. β€’ Develop and execute test cases and use cases for dynamic content scenarios to ensure campaign accuracy. β€’ Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and email proofing processes, including internal and client-facing approvals. β€’ Create and manage data extensions within Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) for testing and deployment purposes. β€’ Manipulate and validate data to support campaign testing and ensure data integrity. β€’ Deploy UAT and proofs through SFMC, ensuring readiness for final campaign launch. β€’ Develop audit plans and maintain documentation for campaign launches to ensure compliance and traceability. LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY β€’ Serve as a critical team member in a long-term strategic initiative, supporting a major financial institution’s co-branded credit card program. β€’ Act as the central liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and external clients, ensuring seamless communication and execution. β€’ Own the creation and accuracy of technical documentation that informs the work of all downstream teams involved in campaign execution. β€’ Influence strategic outcomes by ensuring campaigns are built and launched based on accurate, complete, and approved specifications. β€’ Maintain a high level of autonomy and accountability for deliverables that directly impact client satisfaction, customer response, and campaign performance. β€’ Engage directly with client stakeholders, demonstrating strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible language. β€’ Ensure quality and compliance through rigorous testing, documentation, and audit planning. β€’ Possess strong technical proficiency in data analysis, marketing automation platforms (especially SFMC), and dynamic content logic. β€’ Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Accounting. β€’ Demonstrate professional experience in business systems analysis within a data-driven marketing or technology environment. TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS β€’ Has extensive experience in business Analysis, enterprise process mapping and documentation, as well as client and stakeholder management. β€’ Is proficient in Business knowledge, Credit Card Marketing and Banking Analysis and Strategy, Change Management. β€’ Is proficient in business knowledge of financial products and services; ability to translate financial concepts into actionable business insights. β€’ Has extensive Functional Architecture Design and Knowledge skills with CRM and email marketing technology (MARTECH) platforms like Salesforce Marketing Cloud
