Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to support capital and regulatory reporting initiatives in a hybrid setting based in Jersey Town, NJ.
This contract position requires collaboration with technology and business stakeholders to ensure compliant reporting solutions.
The role involves interpreting regulatory requirements, analyzing data flows, and identifying process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret regulatory schedules and translate requirements into business needs.
Support capital and regulatory reporting initiatives.
Perform comprehensive analysis across credit products, risk, and finance.
Identify data and process gaps impacting reporting.
Collaborate with technology teams for design and implementation.
Skills & Qualifications
• 10+ years of professional experience in large financial institutions with a focus on regulatory initiatives (CCAR, DFAST, Basel III).
• Hands‑on experience with CCAR and Stress Testing implementations, including support for FR Y‑14 reporting and related documentation. Exp with 14Q and 14R
• Strong understanding of Market Risk, Credit Risk, VaR, financial instruments, market data sources, trading systems, and risk governance processes.
• Ability to synthesize complex technical and financial concepts and communicate them clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, multi‑tasking, prioritization, and follow‑through skills with high accountability.
• Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and engage effectively with executives, managers, and SMEs.
• Knowledge of project management frameworks (Waterfall, Agile) and proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (Jira, MS Project, Confluence, ServiceNow, Visio, Excel).
• Proficiency in SQL; knowledge of Databricks is desirable.
• Strong leadership, relationship management, emotional intelligence, and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
• Understanding of financial operations, MIS, data management, and reporting processes within commercial and investment banking.
• BA/BS degree required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
