Essentially, we forge powerful partnerships with leading global enterprises, co-creating exceptional commerce experiences that resonate with customers. Our growth culture champions continuous and unwavering customer centricity, ensuring we balance rapid speed to market with uncompromising technical excellence. As a Business Analyst in Deloitte Digital’s Commerce offering, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of digital commerce for our global clients. You will be at the forefront of innovation, guiding clients through the evolving digital landscape and leveraging cutting-edge technologies to build resilient, scalable, and customer-centric commerce platforms.
About the role:
You will be instrumental in identifying and translating complex business challenges into clear, actionable solutions. This includes driving discovery phases and shaping strategic initiatives that drive tangible business value.
You will expertly elicit, analyse, and document detailed business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications, ensuring alignment between client vision and technical delivery.
Your role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams – including designers, architects, developers, test engineers and delivery leads – to facilitate seamless execution of product delivery.
You will also be key in coordinating delivery efforts, applying agile methodologies, and contributing to data analysis and visualisation to inform decision-making and optimise customer journeys.
You will be a trusted point of contact for client stakeholders, cultivating strong relationships by ensuring their needs are met, and our solutions contribute directly to their business goals, embodying Deloitte's commitment to outstanding client service.
This role offers the chance to make a significant and meaningful impact, transforming how businesses connect with their customers in a rapidly changing digital world.
Connect to your skills and professional experience
To thrive as a Business Analyst in our Commerce business, you will need to possess a strong blend of strategic insight, technical acumen and exceptional consulting capabilities. We are looking for practitioners who can adeptly navigate complex client environments, solve intricate problems, and drive successful outcomes.
Your experience should include:
Experience: Significant experience working on agile software development projects, working as a Business Analyst or adjacent role.
Core Business Analysis Expertise: Proven ability in requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation (user stories, functional specifications), process mapping, and use case development.
Commerce Platform Acumen: Demonstratable experience with leading commerce platforms (e.g., Salesforce Commerce Cloud, commercetools, SAP Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce, Shopify Plus) and a strong understanding of the digital commerce ecosystem.
Composable Architecture & MACH Principles: Familiarity with modern composable commerce architectures and the principles of Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, and Headless (MACH) to build flexible and future-proof solutions. Ability to adapt to diverse client architectural landscapes where required.
Agile Proficiency: Deep understanding and practical application of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) within a fast-paced delivery environment, coupled with a critical and pragmatic approach to incremental value delivery.
Data-Driven Insights: Ability to perform data analysis, interpret key metrics, and utilise data visualisation techniques to inform requirements and optimise solutions. Proficiency in customer journey mapping is highly valued.
AI Fluency: A practical understanding of how Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI can be applied within commerce to enhance product capabilities, improve customer experience, and boost team productivity. This includes the ability to elicit requirements for AI-driven features and integrate AI components into solutions.
Consulting & Client Engagement: Exceptional client relationship management, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills. Ability to act as a trusted advisor, challenge assumptions constructively, and guide clients through complex decisions.
Collaboration & Leadership: Strong coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse, multi-disciplinary teams (design, architecture, development, delivery), whilst also mentoring and guiding junior team members.
Problem-Solving: A proactive and analytical approach to problem-solving, with the ability to break down complex issues and propose innovative, practical solutions.
Connect to your business - Technology and Transformation
Distinctive thinking, deep expertise, innovation and collaborative working. That’s what connects us. That’s what makes us Deloitte. If you want to help solve some of the biggest tech and transformational challenges around, join us. Together, we’ll make an impact that matters.
Customer
Human connections are integral to business. We combine people, ideas and technology to support our clients to build strong connections. For example, through commerce, customer design and sales services.
Personal independence
Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm). The recruitment team will provide further detail as you progress through the recruitment process or you can contact the Independence team upon request.
Connect with your colleagues

Dan, T&T
"I get to work on projects that help clients in a sector I feel truly passionate about.”
Rhiannon, T&T
“Everyone always says “it’s the people,” and that’s true. Working for a brand you feel proud of feels pretty good too. And you don’t have any stress about fitting into a particular stereotype, because there are so many different types of people in Deloitte Digital.”
Gillian, T&T

You’ll get the chance to meet face to face when needed, while you collaborate and learn from colleagues, share your experiences, and build the relationships that will fuel your career and prioritise your wellbeing.
