Who We’re Looking For: The UW–Madison School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH) IT organization is implementing a new enterprise‑level IT Service Management (ITSM) platform and has selected Atlassian Cloud as its enterprise solution. We are seeking a skilled ITSM Business Systems Analyst to support configuration, integration, and optimization efforts for this major initiative. Support the implementation of an enterprise ITSM platform using Atlassian Cloud across SMPH IT groups. Integrate Atlassian Cloud tools with other IT management and operations systems. Analyze ITSM processes and recommend improvements aligned with ITIL best practices. Collaborate with technical teams, service owners, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into system configurations. Support incident, request, change, and knowledge management process design and rollout. Develop and maintain system documentation, configuration standards, and knowledge articles. Troubleshoot ITSM platform issues and provide guidance on best‑practice tool usage. Assist with user training, adoption efforts, and ongoing enhancement cycles. Contribute to Agile ceremonies and project activities as SMPH implements the new ITSM environment. Qualifications: Experience working in IT Service Management (ITSM) environments, optimizing ITSM tools, and enhancing service delivery. Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks and how they apply to ITSM processes. Experience integrating Atlassian Cloud tools with other IT management systems. Hands‑on experience with Jira Service Management configuration and customization (workflows, SLAs, automation rules, etc.).
