Role description
Job Title: Business Data Analyst Location: Charlotte, NC Whatโ€™s the Job? We are seeking a Business Analyst / Data Analyst to support initiatives within the Commercial Banking line of business. This role will focus on data analysis, data mapping, data quality, and API integration , working closely with business, technology, and Agile delivery teams. The ideal candidate brings hands โ€‘ on analytical experience , strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of commercial banking products and processes . Key Responsibilities โ€ข Perform data analysis to support Commercial Banking initiatives, including identifying trends, gaps, and data quality issues. โ€ข Create and maintain data mapping documentation (source โ€‘ to โ€‘ target mappings) across systems. โ€ข Analyze and remediate data quality issues , partnering with technology and data teams to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency. โ€ข Support and document REST API integrations , including understanding request/response payloads and data flows. โ€ข Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements . โ€ข Translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for Agile teams. โ€ข Participate in Agile ceremonies (backlog refinement, sprint planning, stand โ€‘ ups, reviews). โ€ข Collaborate with stakeholders across business, technology, QA, and data teams to ensure end โ€‘ to โ€‘ end delivery. โ€ข Support testing efforts including data validation, UAT support, and issue resolution. โ€ข Maintain clear documentation to support traceability and regulatory expectations. Required Skills & Experience Must โ€‘ Haves โ€ข Commercial Banking experience (required) โ€ข Strong Business Analysis and Data Analysis experience โ€ข Hands โ€‘ on experience with: โ€ข Data analysis โ€ข Data mapping (source โ€‘ to โ€‘ target) โ€ข Data quality assessment and remediation โ€ข REST APIs โ€ข Experience working in Agile environments โ€ข Ability to translate complex data and system concepts into clear business requirements โ€ข Strong analytical, problem โ€‘ solving, and documentation skills โ€ข Excellent verbal and written communication skills Nice โ€‘ to โ€‘ Have Skills โ€ข Experience supporting Commercial Banking systems or platforms โ€ข Familiarity with SQL or querying tools โ€ข Experience with data validation, reconciliation, or reporting โ€ข Exposure to regulatory or risk โ€‘ related data requirements Ideal Candidate Profile โ€ข A hands โ€‘ on BA/DA who can work comfortably with data โ€ข Strong Commercial Banking domain knowledge โ€ข Detail โ€‘ oriented and highly organized โ€ข Comfortable bridging business and technology teams โ€ข Able to work onsite in Charlotte and engage closely with stakeholders If this is a role that interests you and youโ€™d like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
