Job Title: Business Analyst / Data Analyst (Field & Operational Support)Location: Anchorage, AlaskaEmployment Type: Contract (6 months, starting ASAP)Rate: $35–50 USD per hourExperience Level: Junior to Mid (2–5 years) Position Overview We are seeking a versatile and proactive Business/Data Analyst to support project delivery through a mix of business analysis, data management, field training, and operational troubleshooting. This role requires a “jack-of-all-trades” professional who is comfortable with data entry, willing to travel and work in the field with drivers, and capable of providing one-on-one training and technical support. The ideal candidate is adaptable, a quick learner, and possesses strong communication and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities Business Analysis & Process Documentation- Research, define, and document business processes, objectives, and requirements with a focus on data quality- Assist in creating and maintaining user guides for business information systems and supporting processes- Gather and assimilate information using established tools and techniques to produce accurate summaries and findings- Maintain communication with stakeholders to ensure project tasks are delivered on time and meet expectations Field Training & Driver Support- Provide in-field, one-on-one training for drivers on electronic dispatch and delivery systems (e.g., SmartDrops)- Troubleshoot technical issues remotely using tools like SODI for tablet remote access- Coach drivers over the phone and in person to ensure effective system use- Serve as a liaison between operational teams and technical support Data Management & System Support- Perform quality data entry and ensure data integrity across systems- Support system implementation, testing, and user adoption efforts- Assist with training internal users and help facilitate learning of business systems- Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and outcomes. Qualifications Required Experience & Education- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Systems, or related field- OR equivalent combination of post-high school education and 4 years of relevant experience- 2–5 years of experience in quality data entry, training, business analysis, and/or project management- Willingness to travel locally and work in the field with drivers- Ability to perform both office-based tasks and field-based support Technical & Soft Skills- Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, etc.)- Experience with or willingness to learn electronic dispatch systems (SmartDrops)- Familiarity with remote support tools like SODI (or ability to learn quickly)- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and collaboration abilities- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities Desired Profile- Entry-level BA with a versatile, hands-on mindset- Personable, patient, and effective in one-on-one training situations- Comfortable troubleshooting technology in operational settings (OGT—On-the-Ground Training)- Willing to perform data entry and administrative tasks as needed- Proactive problem-solver who can work with minimal supervision Work Environment- Location: Anchorage, Alaska (on-site with field travel required)- Contract Duration: 6 months (starting ASAP)- Mix of office work, data entry, and field-based training/support- Must be willing to travel locally to driver locations and work in operational environments Job Type: Contract Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour Experience: Business Analysis, Data Analysis, or Project Support: 2 years (Required) creating and maintaining user guides: 2 years (Required) working under minimal supervision: 2 years (Required) Ability to Commute: Anchorage, AK (Required) Work Location: On the road
