Drive Regulatory-Focused Innovation in Loan Data & Reporting
Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a Business Analyst / Data Analyst with deep expertise in loan data analysis, loan originations, and regulatory reporting to help elevate daily loan data operations to meet evolving LFI regulatory standards. This critical role bridges business analysis and data engineering by driving requirements, mapping data pipelines, and ensuring the accuracy and traceability of data flows from source to reporting.
If you thrive in high-accountability roles, understand the nuances of lending data, and are equally comfortable drafting requirements and validating SQL queries-this is the role for you.
What You'll Do
• Partner with the Data Sourcing Team to pull, validate, and analyze loan-related data from multiple systems
• Map source-to-target data for ingestion into enterprise reporting environments
• Translate regulatory reporting needs into clear business and technical requirements
• Document data lineage to ensure transparency in data transformations and pipeline logic
• Track and confirm data transformations for analytics and reporting
• Support daily and real-time reporting initiatives for loan data under LFI requirements
• Perform data validation and profiling using SQL (both read and write)
• Collaborate with data engineers, reporting teams, and compliance stakeholders to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of loan data delivery
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of combined experience in business analysis and data analysis
• 5+ years of experience in a bank, lending institution, or financial services environment
• Strong working knowledge of loan data, including:
• Loan originations
• Loan servicing
• Daily and monthly reporting processes
• Deep understanding of LFI (Large Financial Institution) regulatory data requirements
• Proven ability to write SQL queries for data validation, analysis, and lineage tracing
• Experience with data mapping and documentation from multiple source systems
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
• SQL (Required - read and write proficiency)
• DB Visualizer (Preferred tool for querying data)
• Experience with enterprise data platforms or data governance tools is a plus
