Role description
Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to support MMIS (Medicaid Management Information System) initiatives by leading requirements sessions, developing and executing test strategies, and ensuring system changes meet business and regulatory needs. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders, vendors, and program staff, along with hands on data analysis and documentation throughout the full SDLC. The ideal candidate brings strong healthcare domain knowledge, HIPAA claims experience, SQL proficiency, and the ability to work both independently and within cross functional teams.
Responsibilities/Must Haves:
β’ Lead requirements sessions and joint application design meetings with stakeholders, documenting business needs and translating them into clear functional specifications.
β’ Develop and execute test strategies, including test cases, test runs, defect review, and signβoff to ensure system changes meet business and regulatory requirements.
β’ Collaborate with vendors, program staff, and crossβfunctional teams to support MMIS enhancements, provide data analysis (SQL), and communicate updates throughout the project lifecycle.
