Needs to be very familiar with Agile lifecycle
Experience building portals and mobile apps
Comfortable with data analysis and APIs
Needs to be a BA on the technical side/ have good technical knowledge especially on the front end
Retirement services experience is preferred
Experience working on digital transformation team also preferred
Summary of the role
As a Business Analyst you will be responsible for leading assigned digital transformation initiatives focused on Retirement Services Digital Portal initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind and a proven ability to structure, define, and implement initiatives. As an integral member of the team, the Business Analyst will have the opportunity to work with leaders across the organization to deliver initiatives that will shape the future of the Retirement Services businesses. The role requires translating high-level business ideas into actionable, technical user stories for Agile teams, specifically aimed at building user-centric, secure, and high-performance digital products.
Key Responsibilities
• Gathering business needs through workshops and interviews to create detailed Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, epics and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Facilitating communication between non-technical business owners and developers, ensuring technical constraints are understood and business goals are met.
• Partner closely with Digital Product Owner, Business Owner, and Tech Lead to support business case analysis, value quantification, KPI definition, and impact assessment
• Assist process designer to conduct analysis (process, data, systems, controls) and synthesize findings into structured insights to inform target-state design decisions.
• Creating wireframes and low-fidelity prototypes (using tools like Figma, Balsamiq, or Miro) to visualize key functionalities for user portals and mobile screens.
• Collaborating with UX/UI designers to ensure apps are intuitive, user-friendly, and aligned with digital best practices.
• Developing test scenarios, supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and reviewing QA test plans to confirm the application functions according to specifications.
• Defining requirements for web/mobile integration with backend systems (e.g., APIs, CRM, CMS).
• Backlog Management: Developing and maintaining the product backlog in tools like Jira or Azure DevOps, prioritizing features based on business value and user experience.
• Support PI planning, release planning, dependency tracking, RAID management, and overall program governance activities
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Typically 5-7 years in a BA role, with proven experience in web and mobile app development environments.
• Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum teams, participating in ceremonies like sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Proficiency in JIRA/Confluence (for requirements), SQL (for data analysis), and prototyping tools (Figma, Visio, Balsamiq).
• Familiarity with web/mobile technologies (HTML, CSS, React/Angular, iOS/Android capabilities) and APIs.
• Ability to map "as-is" and "to-be" processes, conduct gap analysis, and translate complex functionalities into simple, actionable stories.
