Direct client - Business Analyst 3, Columbus, OH - Remote 100% REMOTE--candidates MUST be able to report onsite for 1st day-30 E Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215 Interviews will be via Teams Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst 3 to support Agile project teams by leading requirements analysis, stakeholder engagement, process modeling, and business documentation activities. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with business and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Key Responsibilities: • Lead requirements gathering and discovery sessions for moderately complex projects, enhancements, and system changes • Facilitate discussions with business stakeholders, Product Owners, developers, QA teams, and project leadership • Analyze current-state and future-state business processes, identifying gaps, dependencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement • Create business process models, workflows, and visual documentation using BPMN and other modeling techniques • Translate business needs into detailed business, functional, non-functional, reporting, and acceptance requirements • Ensure requirements are clear, testable, traceable, and aligned with business objectives • Develop and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM) • Identify impacts across systems, operations, reporting, training, and other business functions • Support backlog refinement and decomposition of requirements into actionable user stories • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Project Managers, Developers, QA, and business stakeholders • Communicate requirements, analysis findings, risks, and decisions effectively to technical and non-technical audiences • Follow established Business Analysis standards, templates, and documentation practices Required Qualifications: • 9+ years of Business Analyst experience in Agile software development environments • Extensive experience with Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar Agile lifecycle management tools • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, backlog refinement, and user story lifecycle management • Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops and requirements gathering sessions • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and facilitation skills • Experience creating detailed business documentation, workflows, process maps, and visual artifacts • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Lucidchart, or similar diagramming tools • Experience creating functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and traceability documentation Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with BPMN process modeling • Experience working on enterprise-level system implementations or modernization projects • Government or public-sector experience is a plus If you are a detail-oriented Business Analyst with strong Agile experience and a passion for driving successful project outcomes, we encourage you to apply.
