Business Analyst, Finance

Job Summary Our client a leading Financial Services provider is seeking a Business Analyst, Finance to join their team! This position is located Hybrid in Chicago, Illinois. This role will focus on bridging technical and business needs by creating detailed documentation, managing software development workflows, refining requirements, and supporting Agile delivery processes. Core Responsibilities • Manage the software development lifecycle from feature prioritization through production deployment • Write detailed Acceptance Criteria and maintain libraries of use cases • Support backlog refinement and prioritization using Azure DevOps or Jira • Collaborate with Product Owners, business sponsors, developers, QA teams, and project managers • Manage changing priorities and stakeholder expectations across multiple workstreams • Create and maintain technical and functional documentation for developers and testers • Support Agile ceremonies and SDLC processes across the software development pipeline • Partner with project management teams to ensure delivery milestones are met • Build strong cross-functional relationships and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders • Support ongoing enhancements to financial and insurance accounting applications Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves) • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience • 5+ years of Business Analyst experience preferred • Strong experience as a Business Analyst within fintech or financial systems environments • Experience supporting software development teams and application delivery projects • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and SDLC practices • Hands-on experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar project management tools • Strong technical documentation and requirements gathering experience • Ability to write detailed user stories and Acceptance Criteria • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills • Experience supporting financial or insurance accounting systems strongly preferred Key Competencies & Behaviors • Time management skills • Communication skills • Technical skills Work Environment • Location: Chicago, Illinois • Hybrid (3 days onsite; flexible anchor days) Compensation & Benefits • Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $50.00 and $57.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
