🎯 The Role
As an FX Business Analyst, you will work at the intersection of business, finance, and technology, supporting Front‑Office FX initiatives within a capital markets environment.
You will collaborate closely with product owners, stakeholders, and engineering teams to translate complex FX business needs into clear requirements, user stories, and actionable insights that drive high‑quality delivery.
📍 Job location: London, UK (Hybrid – 3 days/week on-site in Canary Wharf)
🕒 Contract type: Contractor – Inside IR35
🗓 Target start date: May 2026
⏰ Working hours: Full‑time
💵 Compensation: £600 – £750 per day (depending on expertise)
⏳ Duration: 6 months (with potential extension)
💥 Your Impact
In This Role, You Will
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to define and refine requirements for FX technology solutions
• Elicit, analyse, and document business requirements, translating them into user stories with clear acceptance criteria
• Support backlog refinement and prioritisation through detailed analysis and impact assessments
• Work closely with engineering and QA teams to clarify requirements, support development, and ensure quality delivery
• Conduct FX domain analysis (pricing, execution, order flows, risk, STP, market connectivity) to inform solution design
• Perform as‑is / to‑be process analysis and identify optimisation opportunities
• Provide data‑driven insights to support decision‑making and feature design
• Act as a key liaison between business and technology teams, ensuring alignment and clarity
• Support UAT, validation, and release readiness activities

• You will operate in a front‑office FX environment, where accuracy, speed, and clarity are critical
• You will manage complex stakeholder expectations across business and technology teams
• You will balance detailed analysis with agile delivery constraints

👤 What We’re Looking For
Must-haves
• 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within FX or Capital Markets
• Strong understanding of FX front‑office workflows (pricing, execution, STP, risk, market connectivity)
• Proven experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder engagement
• Strong experience working in Agile environments (user stories, backlog refinement, sprint cycles)
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with strong attention to detail
• Ability to effectively bridge business and technical teams
• Familiarity with data analysis, trade lifecycle concepts, and system integrations
• Fluency in English
Nice-to-haves
• Experience working on large‑scale transformation or regulatory initiatives
• Exposure to complex integration landscapes or trading platforms
• Consulting background within financial services
