Business Analyst (Global Investment Banking)

Job Title: Business Analyst (Global Investment Banking) Duration: 12 Months (with extensions up to 24 months) Location: Jersey City, NJ Required Pay Scale: $70-75/hr W2 (Cannot subcontract or C2C) Job Description: Matlen Silver is actively recruiting for a Business Analyst consultant with a strong data analysis background and knowledge of Capital Markets and Investment Banking regulatory and compliance reporting. In this role you will define the end to end business & functional requirements to support the target business process within our client's Global Markets Data Program team. Working in a Business Analysis capacity, you will contribute to the Agile software development lifecycle of products and services from inception stage through to the final implementation following a Scrum development process. This role requires working closely with the developers to define, build and test the solution often working on multiple projects/work-streams at the same time. Position Summary: • Facilitate requirements gathering, coordinate between technical and functional teams, and drive deliverables across stakeholders. • Ensuring the team has a healthy product and Sprint backlog (in collaboration with the PO). • Promoting and coaching the Agile mindset and principles, empowering the team to become self-managing • Operating within the Enterprise governance and compliance guidelines • Ensuring that all the necessary artifacts are captured to satisfy both internal and external audit controls • Supporting consistent reporting practices across the teams & foster a culture of continuous improvement Desired Skills: • 6+ years of hands-on experience as a Business Analyst building enterprise applications that have large data integration and management requirements. • Experience working on Agile software development projects. • Knowledge of Reference Data, Regulatory & Compliance, and/or Risk Domain and ability to grasp investment banking concepts. • Data analysis background including advanced Excel and technical understanding of SQL. • Agile methodology and tool (Jira) experience. • Experience working in a Project Manager role is nice to have.
