Business Analyst – Guidewire PolicyCenter (Contract-to-Hire) Location: San Antonio, TX or Plano, TX (Preferred) | Remote considered for strong candidates Duration: 12+ Months (Contract-to-Hire) Openings: 15+ Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with Guidewire PolicyCenter expertise to support Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance initiatives. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and translate them into functional solutions within the Guidewire PolicyCenter platform. Responsibilities • Gather, analyze, document, and validate business requirements from P&C insurance stakeholders. • Create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications. • Perform gap analysis between current and future business processes. • Collaborate with developers and architects on Guidewire PolicyCenter configuration, including Product Model, Rating, Workflows, Policy Issuance, Endorsements, Renewals, and Cancellations. • Support Submission, Quote, Bind, and Issuance workflows. • Review Guidewire configurations and validate business requirements. • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives. • Coordinate UAT planning, test execution, defect management, and business sign-off. • Analyze integrations with Billing, Claims, Document Management, Rating Engines, and third-party systems. • Support data migration and data validation activities. • Act as the liaison between business users and technical teams. Required Qualifications • 6–10 years of Business Analyst experience. • 2+ years of hands-on Guidewire PolicyCenter experience. • Strong knowledge of the P&C Insurance lifecycle including quoting, binding, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations. • Experience writing BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation. • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies. • Familiarity with Guidewire Studio, Product Designer, and PolicyCenter Data Model. • Working knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs and integration concepts. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Skills • Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP) experience. • Exposure to Guidewire BillingCenter and/or ClaimCenter. • Basic knowledge of Gosu scripting. • Experience with Personal or Commercial Lines Insurance. • Knowledge of ISO/ACORD standards. • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, or Azure DevOps. Preferred Certifications • Guidewire Certified System Associate – PolicyCenter • Guidewire Certified System Professional – PolicyCenter • Guidewire Cloud Platform Certification • CBAP / CCBA • PMI-PBA • CSPO Education • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. • Master's degree is a plus.
