Business Analyst

• Job Title- Business Analyst • Location- Houston, TX • Employment Type- Contract • Experience- 8-10 years Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically adept Business Analyst to support core system applications, project coordination, and data engineering initiatives. This role will work closely with internal BAs, data engineers, MSP vendors, and PMO stakeholders to ensure project deliverables, software governance, and documentation standards are met. Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with other core BAs to support operational and advanced system applications. • Join stand-up meetings and track ticket-based tasks; follow up with contractors to ensure timely resolution. • Coordinate with internal teams and MSP vendors on software packaging, updates, and compliance. • Manage documentation and governance for system software and applications. • Support PMO processes by facilitating project coordination activities, tracking progress, and escalating issues when needed. • Work closely with the data engineering team. • Document data pipelines, dashboard architecture, and related systems. • Develop and maintain a centralized project catalog. • Create, update, and validate KX articles in ServiceNow, including SLAs and support contact details. • Ensure all system documentation is consistent, clear, and up to date. • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders. • Worked closely with Business Analysts and stakeholders to identify data needs, analyze system usage, and support decision-making through structured reporting. • Maintained and updated a centralized project and data catalog to track metadata, data flow, and usage across systems. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst in enterprise IT environments. • Solid understanding of Cloud Infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure) and technical workflows. • Hands-on experience coordinating with MSP vendors and cross-functional IT teams. • Proficiency with ServiceNow, particularly in handling KX articles and ITSM processes. • Familiarity with Data Engineering concepts, including pipelines, dashboards, and metadata documentation. • Strong project coordination skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple parallel tasks. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Proactive problem-solving approach and stakeholder management capability. • Performed data validation and ensured data integrity across dashboards and reporting systems, supporting governance and compliance requirements. • Utilized tools such as Excel, SQL, and BI platforms to prepare reports, extract insights, and support executive-level presentations. Preferred Skills: • Experience working in a role that combines both business analysis and project coordination tasks. • Prior exposure to enterprise software procurement and governance workflows. • Ability to interpret technical documents and communicate effectively with data engineers.
