Position: ITS Business Analyst
Employment Type: Contract

About the Role
We are seeking a mid-level ITS Business Analyst with 5+ years of experience to support vendor-delivered technology projects and selected internal application initiatives. The successful candidate will lead and coordinate requirements-gathering activities, serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, vendors, and IT teams, and help plan communication and training efforts to ensure successful solution adoption.
This role also contributes to production support activities, including issue triage, defect analysis, and collaboration with development and vendor teams.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Act as the primary Business Analyst on vendor-led projects, facilitating discovery sessions, workshops, and ongoing requirements clarification.
• Translate business needs into clear, complete, and testable requirements, including:
• Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
• User Stories
• Use Cases
• Acceptance Criteria
• Partner with vendor project managers and solution architects to validate scope, assumptions, dependencies, risks, and change requests.
• Develop or contribute to communication plans, including stakeholder audiences, key messages, communication channels, and release schedules.
• Collaborate with business owners to create and execute training plans, including:
• Training materials
• Training schedules
• Train-the-trainer sessions
• Job aids and user documentation
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including planning, script development, feedback collection, defect tracking, and resolution validation.
• Gather, analyze, and refine requirements for internal application enhancements and small-to-medium-sized projects.
• Participate in production support activities by:
• Triaging issues
• Reproducing defects
• Clarifying expected system behavior
• Documenting bug reports with detailed reproduction steps, logs, and business impact
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, ITS Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role.
• Proven experience gathering, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements.
• Experience working with third-party vendors and coordinating technology implementations.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall environments.
• Experience facilitating stakeholder meetings, workshops, and requirements sessions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience planning and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
