Role description
JOB TITLE: Business Analyst III CAYUSE COMPANY: Cayuse Civil Services, LLC LOCATION Hybrid, Austin, TX (3 days onsite | Mon & Tues Onsite) SALARY: $108,888- $155,563.20 The Senior Business Analyst, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, independently performs a variety of complicated tasks, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected, while serving as a liaison between the Business community and Customer IT Teams (i.e., Architecture, Project Delivery, Application Sustain, etc.). This role will plan and accomplish goals to support business and technology initiatives, acting as a key liaison between the business community and IT teams, utilizing significant creativity and latitude to drive solutions that align with organizational objectives. This position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse. Lead Digital Transformation: Spearhead and significantly contribute to large-scale digital transformation initiatives, identifying opportunities for innovation and designing future-state business capabilities that leverage emerging technologies to achieve strategic organizational goals. Business Process Reengineering (BPR): Conduct comprehensive analysis of current-state business processes, identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and pain points, and design optimized, streamlined future-state processes. Lead efforts to implement reengineered processes, ensuring smooth transitions and measurable improvements in efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service quality. Strategic Business Modeling: Develop and maintain robust business architecture artifacts, including current and future state business process models (using BPMN), data models, capability models, value streams, and organizational models. Utilize various modeling tools and notations to effectively communicate complex business concepts to diverse audiences. Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Definition: Collaborate extensively with senior leadership, business units, IT teams, and external partners to elicit, analyze, and validate complex business requirements. Translate strategic objectives and user needs into actionable business and functional specifications that guide solution development. Bridge Business & IT: Act as a critical liaison, ensuring seamless communication and understanding between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams. Articulate business impacts of technical decisions and technical implications of business requirements. Other duties as assigned. Hereโ€™s What You Need 8 years experience reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs. 8 yearsโ€™ working understanding of the business analysis areas of knowledge and its associated activities and tasks. 8 yearsโ€™ experience participating in software development reviews and providing advice and assistance to other team members in analysis, design, and test. 8 yearsโ€™ experience performing or participating in unit testing, support system testing and user acceptance testing. 8 yearsโ€™ experience in planning and organizing work to meet goals and complete multiple assignments without compromising accuracy. 8 yearsโ€™ working knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies. Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment. Minimum Skills: 8 yearsโ€™ experience in effective verbal and written communications with both IT and business professionals and clients. Must possess problem-solving skills. Ability to respond effectively to customers with a sense of urgency. Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc. Highly motivated with the ability to handle and manage multiple tasks at any one time. Ability to forge new relationships, individual and teaming in nature. Must be a Self-starter, that can work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications: 8 yearsโ€™ experience with the implementation of case management systems. 8 yearsโ€™ experience with Jira project management software. Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at computer screen. May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays. May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes. May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.
