Business Analyst - Senior
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to dig deep into a specific business area and help define the details of how to drive business results through technology. Work on a cross-functional team of product managers, engineers, designers and subject matter experts in an agile methodology to deliver on outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Partner with business stakeholders to define analytics objectives, translate requirements into measurable KPIs and scoped work items.
• Design, develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that surface actionable insights for product, marketing and finance teams.
• Execute quantitative analyses using SQL to extract, transform and validate data from multiple sources; create repeatable queries and data models.
• Leverage Adobe Analytics to instrument and analyze web and product telemetry, perform funnel and behavioral analyses, and validate implementation.
• Manage work items, sprint tasks and stakeholder communications in JIRA; coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Create clear documentation of requirements, data definitions, assumptions, methodology and analytic outputs for transparency and reuse.
• Perform ad hoc analyses and experimentation evaluation (A/B testing) to inform product and marketing decisions.
• Coach and mentor junior analysts, review deliverables for quality and help establish analytics best practices and governance.
• Collaborate with engineering and data teams to improve data pipelines, ensure data accuracy and drive automation of recurring reports.
Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, or product analytics in a mid-to-large organization; prior experience in financial services or insurance is a plus.
• Proven hands-on experience with Adobe Analytics for event tracking, report suites, segment definitions and behavioral analysis.
• Expert-level Power BI skills, including data modeling, DAX, report optimization and user-focused dashboard design.
• Strong SQL skills for querying, joining and aggregating large datasets; experience with performance tuning and writing reusable scripts.
• Experience using JIRA or similar agile project management tools to manage requirements, sprints and releases.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations and executive-ready presentations.
• Strong collaboration, stakeholder management and written/verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with data engineering concepts, ETL processes and modern analytics stack; experience with Python/R, Snowflake or similar platforms is a plus.
• Attention to detail, proven problem-solving skills, and a commitment to data quality and reproducibility.
