Role : Business Analyst with Insurance Domain

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in the Insurance domain to analyze business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and translate business needs into effective technology and operational solutions. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality solutions that enhance efficiency, compliance, and customer experience across insurance operations.
Job Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Process Improvement
β’ Analyze end-to-end insurance business processes, systems, and data to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization.
β’ Recommend process improvements and system enhancements aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.
β’ Support initiatives related to policy administration, underwriting, claims, billing, and customer service systems.
Requirements Gathering & Documentation
β’ Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and working sessions.
β’ Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, use cases, process flows, and data mappings.
β’ Ensure requirements are clear, complete, testable, and aligned with business objectives.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
β’ Act as a liaison between business users, product owners, developers, QA teams, and vendors.
β’ Support development teams throughout the SDLC to ensure accurate and timely implementation of requirements.
β’ Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, UAT support, and defect resolution activities.
Documentation & Knowledge Management
β’ Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation including business requirement documents (BRDs), functional requirement documents (FRDs), process flow diagrams, user guides, and training materials.
β’ Ensure documentation complies with internal standards and regulatory guidelines relevant to the insurance industry.
Mandatory Skills
LOMA certification with at least FLMI Level 1 (FLMI Level 2 or higher preferred).
Required Education
Bachelorβs degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field
Required Experience
β’ 12+ yearsβ experience as a Business Analyst
β’ 5β7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the Insurance domain.
β’ Strong understanding of insurance operations, workflows, and regulatory considerations.
β’ Proven expertise in requirements gathering, business process modeling, and functional documentation.
β’ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
β’ Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills & Competencies
β’ Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall project environments.
β’ Proficiency with business process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, BPMN tools).
β’ Familiarity with business intelligence, reporting tools, and data analysis techniques.
β’ Experience supporting UAT and working with QA teams.
β’ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
