Role description
Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a remote Business Analyst: IT Associate for a contract assignment with one of our premier Infrastructure services clients. This role will be remote. Client unable to sponsor at this time or in the future Client unable to do employer layers Responsibilities : • Support key initiatives within our Cloud and Network Security organization. • Work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and application owners to analyze requirements, coordinate testing activities, assess SaaS security posture, and help drive successful implementation of new technologies-specifically the Cisco Secure Access solution. • This position is ideal for someone early in their IT career who is eager to learn, highly organized, and comfortable acting as a bridge between business needs and technical execution. • Business Analysis & Stakeholder Support • Serve as a liaison between technical security teams, business units, and application owners to ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives. • Gather, document, and analyze business requirements related to security initiatives and cloud solutions. • Assist in developing project documentation, including business requirements, process flows, user stories, and support materials. • Cisco Secure Access Implementation Support • Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing testing activities for the Cisco Secure Access implementation. • Document test cases, record results, and track issues or defects to closure. • Work with cross-functional teams to validate remediation efforts and ensure successful testing milestones. • SaaS Security & Application Review • Coordinate with internal teams to assess the security posture of SaaS applications across the organization. • Collect and analyze data on security configurations, identify gaps, and support follow-up actions with application owners. • Assist in the creation of recommendations and best-practice guidance to help enhance SaaS governance and compliance. • Communication, Reporting & Documentation • Prepare clear and concise reports, presentations, and status updates for project stakeholders. • Support the development of communication materials related to project progress, risks, and recommendations. • Maintain organized project documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of team processes. Required Skills: • Strong interest in IT, business analysis, and cybersecurity-related initiatives. • Familiarity with basic IT and network security concepts is helpful but not required. • Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-team coordination skills. • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and take initiative in problem-solving. • Exposure to Cisco solutions or SaaS security concepts is beneficial but not mandatory. • A self-starter who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced IT environment. • Someone eager to learn new technologies and grow their IT skillset. • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and organizational skills. • An effective communicator who can translate between business and technical stakeholders. Preferred Skills: • Experience with business analysis tools or methodologies (e.g., requirements gathering, process mapping, testing support) is a plus.
